ARTIST BIO

World of beauteous verisimilitude. We need to find the inner meaning of even a straight line. So it is with the paintings of Ria Rushin Joseph, who glees in images of convincing simplicity, freely available in their striking realism, yet an abstract nature that gives a positivity, and then a lot of after thought. In the superfluity of visual images of this life, Ria's acrylic paintings attract through their extraordinary abstractness accompanied with reality - so real that they seem to reach beyond reality and, through their heightened perception, create a world of their own.

Ria Rushin Joseph is a self taught artist from Melbourne, Australia.  She studied Master of Physics from CUSAT. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical physics at Swinburne University, Melbourne. She was the first rank holder in her Bachelor's degree and  the receiver of prestigious Victoria India Doctoral scholarship. She is continually striving to capture abstractness in nature. Ria has entered the marketplace recently. She likes to continue both research and painting together. She started her painting from her childhood onwards. Initially she used painting for visualising physics. Her painting skills and passion grew along with her knowledge in physics.
